When the video of Ai Weiwei ends, I was wondering in his attitude after that I came back to research more information about him. After I read his background, its make me stop to question why he has different ideas from other artists.
The most concept of his work is about
satirize the society in China. One of his project that
represent him is Kui Hua Zi (Sun Flower Seeds), 2009 that published by Carolina Nitsch for the
New Museum, New York Kui Hua Zi. Ai Weiwei has manipulated
traditional methods of crafting ceramic pieces resembling sunflower seeds that
has historically been one of China’s most prized exports. Sunflower seeds are a
symbol for a sustainable way of life. Packed in a modern household glass, they
are a down-to-earth symbol to be used by everyone.

From my perspective, his project
not only present Ai Weiwei’s ideas but also show part of his larger vision of
interactivity in his works and metaphors of Chinese society. He is a great of
example that stay strong in his attitude and tried to show what is he thinking about by the way of
his art project. Moreover, he inspired me to believe in myself and do what I
like that is the secret of happiness. It is easy to called “Freedom”
